At the exhibition "Henry Semiradsky. Following the example of the gods" there are only about 100 exhibits, among them 50 works by Heinrich Semiradsky, as well as a number of works by masters of his circle from Russian and foreign collections.
Henrikh Ippolitovich Semiradsky (1843-1902) is the greatest master of European academism, a figure of international scale.
The corpus of works by contemporary artists included in the exhibition — the creator of the "New Academy" Timur Novikov, Oleg Maslov and Viktor Kuznetsov, Olga Tobreluts, Timofey Parshchikov, Valery Koshlyakov, Aristarkh Chernyshev — makes it possible to actualize the theme of beauty in art and look at the traditions of academism in a new perspective.
