Gallery K35 Presents the New Exhibition Project «The Garden of Earthly Delights».
Artists Andrey Novikov and José Manuel Ballester invite viewers to immerse themselves in meditative reflections on the fragility of existence, the nature of sin, and the search for new ideals in the post-pandemic era.
Andrey Novikov contemplates fragility and the pursuit of Paradise—that elusive "ideal place" humanity yearns for, especially in times of crisis. For the artist, this project became a personal odyssey—an attempt to enter a liminal space between dream and reality. The works in this series depict scenes from a world where conventions and rules have vanished, yet the longing for love, light, and belonging remains.
A highlight of the exhibition is The Uninhabited Garden, a multimedia piece by José Manuel Ballester. It belongs to his Hidden Spaces series, created using digital media. Ballester reimagines masterpieces of world art by removing human and animated figures, focusing solely on the landscapes and objects that compose them.
These two perspectives—one constructing imagined realms, the other deconstructing familiar ones—invite viewers to reflect on humanity’s place in our fragile world, and on our capacity for creation and love.
