«About chimeras, hybrids, cyborgs and humans. Guide to the inevitable future»

Exhibitions
Dates: December 10 - December 31, 2022
Address: Museum of Moscow, Zubovsky Boulevard, 2

Art project "About chimeras, hybrids, cyborgs and humans. Guide to the Inevitable Future" is the first in a series of exhibitions dedicated to the relationship of man with the space of nature, culture and technology. The curator of the exhibition is Yulia Aksenova, art critic, laureate of the state prize in the field of contemporary art "Innovation — 2021".

The words "chimera", "hybrid" and "cyborg" are associated with Greek mythology, biotechnology or science fiction. However, the appearance of "borderline" species is not always associated with conscious, and therefore responsible activity: mixing or modification of living organisms often occurs as a result of thoughtless or barbaric human intervention in the environment. Understanding this should lead to the formation of a new environmental awareness, in which the creators of the project see the necessary daily practice of every modern citizen.
